uICE can be extended to support additional remote control receiver or other input hardware. A simple dynamic link library (DLL) interface has been defined for rapid user mode driver development. Of course a device dll is not limited to remain in user mode, you can also use the interface to write a proxy dll to a kernel mode driver.

Version 3 is in the work, which will come with a completely revised driver interface.
